Raitt Apologizes

Or did she. If you read the Full Statement she is apologizing that we the people were offended. That is about as sincere as a rapist saying "I'm sorry she was in the wrong place, and got raped." Pretty insensitive if you ask me.

And what was Harper's response to all this scandal? Well, he is going to take his ball and go home. He is phasing out the Chalk River facility and the government is getting out of the Isotope business. This move puts added stress on the already over stressed medical community and it means Canada will have to rely on the good will of the profit hungry private sector for its supply of the world's medical isotopes.

Cheap Politics

The conservatives start screaming "Cheap Politics" every time someone questions one of their MPs on something they said or did that is obviously questionable. Cheap politics? What about the fact that the conservatives have been running Attack / Election ads since they took leadership? I guess that isn't CHEAP but it sure is dirty.

Here's an idea...Since the conservatives obviously have a huge surplus of cash in their election funds why don't they throw it at the leaky budget and cancel some of that proposed deficient that just gets bigger every time Flaherty opens his mouth?

Another denier myth tested...

Go read.

Add to the coolness factor that it is some Canadian research. I guess the question is, what is our young earth creationist, climate change ignorer (he cannot deny it anymore for fear of his job) minister responsible for science going to do to cut the funding to these guys? How about his boss?
